This Code of Conduct has been written in conjunction with our mission statement and sets out the standards of behaviour expected from everyone working for or with MHIY, including employees, contractors, suppliers, and accommodation partners.
1. Professional Conduct
All staff and partners must:

Act honestly, professionally, with integrity and at speed;

Treat guests, clients, landlords and colleagues with respect;

Maintain high standards of communication and service;

Represent MHIY positively at all times;

Avoid behaviour that may damage the company’s reputation.
2. Guest Welfare & Safeguarding
We are committed to providing safe and suitable accommodation.
Everyone working with MHIY must:

Prioritise guest safety and wellbeing;

Report safeguarding or welfare concerns immediately;
-
Never knowingly place guests in unsafe accommodation;

Treat vulnerable guests with care, dignity, and sensitivity.
3. Equality & Respect
MHIY operates a zero-tolerance approach to:

Discrimination;

Harassment;
-
Bullying;
-
Victimisation;
-
Abuse or intimidation.
Everyone must be treated fairly regardless of age, disability, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, or background.
4. Compliance & Ethics
All workers and partners must comply with:

Local applicable laws and regulations;
-
Data protection and confidentiality obligations;
-
Health & safety requirements;
-
Anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws;

Company policies and procedures.
Fraudulent, dishonest, or unethical behaviour will not be tolerated.
5. Accommodation Standards

Properties sourced or managed through MHIY must:

Exceed legal safety requirements;
-
Be clean, secure, and suitable for occupation;
-
Be accurately represented to guests and clients;
-
Comply with agreed booking terms and standards.
Partners and guests are expected to behave respectfully within properties and follow all property rules.
6. Confidentiality & Data Protection
Confidential information relating to guests, clients, landlords, insurers, or colleagues must not be shared improperly.
All personal data must be handled in accordance with UK GDPR and company data protection procedures.
7. Conflicts of Interest
Employees and contractors must avoid situations where personal interests conflict with company interests.
Any actual or potential conflict of interest must be disclosed to management immediately.
8. Reporting Concerns
Any breaches of this Code of Conduct should be reported to management as soon as possible.
Concerns may also be raised through the company’s Whistleblowing Policy.
9. Breaches of the Policy
Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in:
Removal from assignments;
Termination of contracts;
Disciplinary action;
Referral to relevant authorities where appropriate.
10. Review
This policy will be reviewed regularly to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry best practice.
